THE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY AT LEUPHANA UNIVERSITY OF LÜNEBURG INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING JUNIOR PROFESSORSHIP:

The junior professorship advances an understanding of the ways in which psychology helps shape a sustainable and responsible transformation of the world of work.

Your research is informed by broader theoretical and empirical debates in the field of psychology—particularly in the areas of Work, Organizational and Economic Psychology and Organizational Behavior, respectively.

Your research meets the highest standards for empirical studies, follows the Open Science Movement for replicable, robust findings, and bridges research themes around transformation and sustainability in working life with psychological science.

Specific research topics revolve around work, organizational and economic psychology with a focus on, for instance, careers, digitalization, diversity, leadership, occupational health and/or societal transformation.

You research, for instance, employee green behavior, gender, and diversity in the context of work, health-oriented leadership, occupational health in the context of digitalization, sustainable careers, or sustainable human resources management from a work, organizational and economic psychology, or organizational behavior, perspective.


Your research topics should link to the School of Management and Technology's mission and complement existing research by contributing a novel psychological perspective for the responsible and sustainable transformation of the world of work in the 21st century - preferably in the profile areas sustainability and responsible management and digital transformation.


In teaching, you will teach in modules of the fitting minor program "Psychology and Society"— for instance, _Empirical Research Project_, _Health and Society_, or _Applications of Psychology in Society_.

In the Major Psychology, the incoming Professor is invited to contribute to the _Diagnostics _modules.

For this position, we are seeking a committed early-stage researcher who shows promise of excellence in teaching and research. You share the idea of the university as an educational community.

As a scholar with a willingness to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration at the School of Management and Technology and beyond, you will participate in PhD education, engage in the Open Science Movement as a role model, and make contributions to the university as a whole.

You seek to establish a vibrant (inter-)national network and to further develop your internationally visible research program.

You have a track record of teaching courses at the Bachelor's level. Preferably, you have experience teaching courses at the Master's level, teaching lectures, and supervising theses on B.Sc. and M.Sc. levels. Ideally, you have a track record of teaching classes in English. You have an excellent command of the English language. If you do not speak German, you are willing to learn it within a reasonable period.

Beyond research and teaching, you should strive to inspire and educate students as well as non-academics to make a sustainable impact on people, organizations, and society.


According to - 30 NHG, formal requirements are a university degree in a discipline relevant to the open position; your aptitude for teaching; and your ability to engage in independent academic research as demonstrated by the outstanding quality of your dissertation.
