About the_ _
Germany Team Leader role.


We are looking for an experienced and committed campaigner, with strong people and program management skills, to lead 's work in Germany.

Leading our small staff team in Germany and in collaboration with our team in Europe and partner organisations, you will be responsible for steering our work to achieve ambitious campaign goals.

You will identify emerging threats and opportunities in Germany and Europe, and work in partnership with others to develop strategies and tactics to respond to them.

You will be providing management support as well as directly delivering elements of the team's plans yourself.


Responsibilities

Team management: creating a collaborative and empowering environment that allows every member of the team to excel in their role and to develop professionally

Strategic leadership:leading the team to develop and deliver ambitious campaigns and organising strategies contributing to our European wide efforts and global strategy.

Working with partners:Build and strengthen strategic alliances with a wide-range of partners to increase the scale and impact of our work

Communications:Leading on the team's communications strategy, developing compelling narratives and increasing the reach of our messages via traditional and online media

Representing to external audiences (e.g. public speaking; media interviews; advocacy meetings)


Required Qualifications

  • A proven track record of developing and delivering impactful campaigns or organising strategies for environmental, social or economic justice
  • A minimum of 3 years in leading public campaigns and people management
  • Excellent peoplemanagement and team leadership skills
  • Experience of managing complex projects
  • A proven track record of working successfully in coalitions of NGOs and grassroots volunteer groups
  • Strong ability to build and nurture partnerships with a wide variety of people and groups, working across differences of culture and identities with integrity and sensitivity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in an accessible and persuasive way for different target audiences
  • Good knowledge of the social, political and campaigning context in Germany and Europe
  • Able to work in both German and English

Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of energy/climate justice at a national, regional and international level
  • Experience of grassroots organising
  • Experience of digital campaigning and fundraising
  • Experience of working with the media
  • Experience of working within a global organisation
  • Existing contacts within the climate justice movement in Germany


We are looking for someone who is comfortable working remotely, both independently & on teams, and who is highly responsive, able to lead initiatives while also taking direction from others.


Location:
Anywhere in Germany, with the option to work alongside colleagues in our office in Berlin


Position Type:

Compensation:
Level 3.1-EUR 67,897


Work Environment:
This role is predominantly office and/or home based, although the role-holder is expected to participate in external meetings, events and campaign activities


Travel:
This role is likely to involve regular domestic travel and occasional international travel (1-2 times per year)
