Your tasks

Drive component strategy roadmap definition with internal crossfunctional partners for reusable modules as representative of the Global Category for Discrete Components.
Realize supplier strategies, competitive supplier choice and material strategy for discrete components within reusable modules.
Identify technological trends or white spots, propose introduction of new technologies/suppliers in alignment with purchasing architects and categories. Ensure early supplier involvement and anticipate technology roadmap requirements.
Ensure strategic suppliers to have a systematic roadmap alignment and early engagement activities with Central Engineering and Business Area
Lead, coordinate and execute crossmaterial category sourcings within the global Cluster for Discrete components for reusable modules (ensure total cost approach, implement innovative negotiation concepts, ensure evaluation of different technical design concepts, and understand component dependencies).
Share component dependencies with relevant Categories and Demand Management (e.g. among mixed signal / analog technology).
Support improvement programs with suppliers, Categories and Business Areas (e.g. Design to Cost, cost down measures, capacity clustering etc.)

Profile:

Academic degree in electrical or business engineering or comparable qualification
Longterm experience in R&D (hardware), supplier quality, purchasing or comparable
Experience in project management or comparable
Strong strategic, forward thinking and ownership mindset
Management skills, tools and techniques which ensures a strategic, profit and resulted oriented handling (benchmarking, presentation, etc.)
Exceptional mathematical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with strong attention to detail and agile resultsoriented negotiation skills
Strong team contributor, comfortable in collaborating with crossfunctional and multicultural teams in a highly active, fastpaced environment across multiple time zones
Excellent presentation and communication skills to various levels of the internal and supplier organizations
Good skills in conflict management, openmindedness as well as networking and team player mentality
