Position Overview


Based in Düsseldorf, Germany, we are currently recruiting a talented professional for the position of Finance Controller for the Finance Cluster Germany & Switzerland.


Reporting directly to the Finance Manager Germany and with a strong link to the Management Teams in Germany and Switzerland, you will play a key role contributing significantly to the financial performance of the Puratos entities, with key focus on the manufacturing operation based in Switzerland.

You will be a key player supporting growth & development of the Puratos business in a sustainable and profitable way.


in your Cluster role (~65%), you will coordinate the Swiss finance function (Swiss/German based & partially outsourced) and identify actions, formulate recommendations and present financial / operational information to allow accurate decision making.


As part of the German Finance Team, you will actively contribute in shaping value creation of Puratos Germany, operating in Europe's largest baked goods market.


Key accountabilities
Finance management

  • Develop finance organizational strategies by compiling financial and accounting information, (trend) analysis, and recommendations.
  • Organize and manage the accounting and data processing functions for reliable, timely administration and reporting in alignment with statutory, fiscal and group requirements.
  • Establish, manage & maintain partnerships with external stakeholders and authorities.
  • Partner and challenge internal stakeholders to improve internal procedures to guarantee safeguarding and optimal use of company assets. This includes strict debtor management, stock control, cash management,
  • Assist and advise the Swiss and German Management Teams in various financial and business related matters and support the decisionmaking process with relevant data.
  • Effectively communicate financial goals/targets and ensure accountability is assigned to the appropriate functional leader; work closely with local management teams in setting cost control and reduction strategies.
  • Drive the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process.
  • Manage financing requirements and optimize cash management in coordination with the Group treasury function.
  • Reinforce the effective use of MRP and ERP systems with internal business partners.
  • Actively influence pricing strategies.
  • Reduce FX exposure through hedge management.
Capital assets management


In collaboration with Operations:

  • Evaluate CAPEX requirements to enhance production performance
  • Review IRR for all major capital additions with documented business case scenario
  • Minimize spending risk through effective supplier management strategies.

Qualifications
Master in Finance or Business Administration with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.

Experience in a manufacturing environment - preferably in a multi-national context - is highly recommended:


  • You are accurate, efficient and have a strong business acumen & drive for results;
  • You are capable to organize, plan and execute reliably and independently;
  • You are proficient in MS Office; proficiency in SAP & BI is a plus;
  • You have excellent English writing and communication skills;
  • You have strong influencing, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • You have a good understanding of law and general practices in terms of finance management;
  • You demonstrate sufficient understanding & knowledge of IFRS;
  • You are a team player & practice partnership at all levels of the organization
  • You are ready to travel up to 25% of your working time
