Duties:


  • Serves as the Facilities Manager the Force Management Branch within the Intelligence Support Division of the USAREUR-AF G
  • Serves as a Facility Manager and lead on facility management and operations.
  • Has primary responsibility for communicating organization requirements, plans and resource needs to the supervisor and implements facilities force modernization projects for the site.
  • Conducts Facilities planning to ensure optimal operations of USAREUR-AF G2 facilities comprised of operational and support workspace.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.
  • This position is considered Key and the essential nature of the position prohibits the position from being vacated during a national emergency or mobilization and cannot be filled by Ready Reservists or military retirees with recall obligations.
  • A family care plan is required for single parents or families where both parents are either Key, emergency essential, noncombat essential, and/or mission essential, including situations where one parent is in the military.
  • Failure to perform the duties of this position may result in appropriate action defined as separation for the efficiency of the Federal service under the procedures contained in 5 CFR 75
  • Must be able to participate in readiness exercises.

Specialized experience which includes experience with facility planning, maintenance, and space allocation such as: 1:
Managing a maintenance program for office or apartment building complexes, planning maintenance activities, and developing preventive maintenance programs.


2:

Conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations 3: Performing maintenance or construction work, including estimating material and labor costs for a variety of construction or maintenance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).

Please Note

  • If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI and DoDM
  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI and DoDM
  • Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a spaceavailable and reimbursable basis
