Research Group Leader Position (M/F/d) -Oral Microbiology or Bioinformatics-:
Qualification requirements include a PhD or MD/Ph.
D. degree, appropriate postdoctoral training and a 3 year research plan. Applicants should have a strong research record. Within one year most of the teaching activities should be in German but starting with English is an option.


Tasks

  • Develop research plans and proposals and write, present and disseminate research work; teaching
  • Read and reflect scientific literature (microbiology, bioinformatics, molecular biology, omics)
  • Develop research projects
  • Write papers and present and disseminate results on conferences
  • Teach students (medical, dental, biology) in theory and practice

Your profile
We are seeking qualified applicants with advanced skills in microbiology/ bioinformatics methods to characterise oral-intestinal ecosystems (microbiomics) and microorganisms (genomics) as well as in teaching (lectures and practical courses in medical microbiology)

  • Ph.
D. in microbiology, bioinformatics, biology, oral sciences with extended knowledge

  • Previous experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a teambased environment
  • Excellent oral & written communication, presentation and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL & PowerPoint)
  • English and German language (Level C2)
  • Knowledge of dental and/or medical terminology
  • Previous experience managing microbiome/genome projects
  • Familiar with big data exploitation in life sciences
  • Strong research record (should have at least four publications with a total impact >10)
  • Team worker, loyality, didactic talent
