Responsibilities:

Holistic evaluation and preparation of dossiers for cosmetic ingredients and active substances for national and international notifications / chemical registrations as well as technical contact person for authorities and customers
Determination and evaluation of toxicological and ecotoxicological data including hazard and risk related assessment of substances and products
Selection of suitable studies to determine hazard characteristics for substances, their monitoring and scientific evaluation of the results with a focus on the assessment of cosmetic ingredients and active ingredients
Support in ensuring the worldwide marketability of products with regard to cosmetic and chemical regulatory requirements
Intensive cooperation within a successfully operating product stewardship team as well as with international expert colleagues
Close cooperation with the responsible persons from the marketing, research and production departments

Requirements:

Successfully completed university studies in toxicology, chemistry, medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, biology or food chemistry, preferably with a doctorate degree
At least 5 years of professional experience in the jobrelevant field of safety assessment of cosmetic ingredients and active substances desirable
Additional qualification in the field of toxicology, e.g. as a specialist toxicologist DGPT
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases for searching (eco) toxicological and physicochemical data sets
Very good written and spoken German, English and ideally also French language skills
Strong communication and cooperation skills, as well as coordination of tasks within matrix organizations
