Title and Summary

Director, Business Development ID Theft Protection Europe

Cyber & Intelligence Solutions is responsible for safeguarding trust in payments, both now and in future. We ensure that transactions and interactions are safe, simple and smart.

By cyber we mean cyberspace in its truest sense - the totality of the digital world we operate in, both online and offline.

Intelligence refers to the use of smart technology and deployment of services - Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and the sophisticated interpretation of data - to better protect and serve customers.

C&I helps Mastercard develop solutions in fields beyond payments as our remit expands from transactions to interactions.

Overview

With increasing digital inclusion in consumers' daily lives and potential exposure of their personal information in the digital ecosystem today, they are all vulnerable to identity theft.

Fraudsters today are quick to adapt to the market for fraud and abuse potential loopholes in the system. Mastercard's ID Theft Protection monitors the deep, dark, and surface web and looks for compromised personal information data.

Should an identity theft incident occur, the consumer will be alerted immediately, and a full identity restoration service will be available.

The Director, Business Development ID Theft Protection Europe will lead the European go-to-market and drive incremental revenue of Mastercard's ID Theft Protection service.

Responsibilities:

Develops executable EU GTM strategy in partnership with regional product team and partners with CSC/C&I teams to align with market priorities.
Adopts global assets into effective and scalable sales materials customized to be applicable for European market and segment/vertical needs.
Demonstrates thought leadership through profound product and industry expertise representing Mastercard at relevant industry events.
Develops and manages regional sales pipeline in partnership with divisional teams and grows ID Theft Protection revenue by identifying and pursuing opportunities.
Builds a close partnership with Mastercard's service provider to drive sales of ID Theft Protection for issuers, acquirers, merchants, Telcos and digital giants.
Closes new business in partnership with C&I and Account Management generating incremental revenue from existing Mastercard customers.
Provides product, market and industry intelligence and translates to market requirements.
Acts as the voice of the market in partnership with regional and global product teams to ensure customer needs are met.

All about you

Profound cybersecurity industry expertise (ideally focused on ID theft), upcoming technologies, and trends.
Knowledge of payment industry, fraud, and the competitive landscape is a plus.
Demonstrated success in growing market presence and revenue for a new business line. (Security solution software sales experience preferred.)
Excellent negotiation skills and demonstrated success in signing large deals.
Ability to form trusted relationships at various levels. (Existing personal network of key decision makers in the industry preferred.)
Strong networker with the ability to listen, build common ground and influence to effectively advance business opportunities and generate revenues.
Proven track record of working effectively in matrix organizations and with crossfunctional teams, both internally and externally.
Outstanding Presentation, Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
