Working Student DHL SMARTSOLUTIONS IOT (M/F/x)

On the cutting edge of advanced logistics thinking, the DHL Customer Solutions and Innovation (CSI) unit drives innovative, industry-specific solutions for DHLs biggest customers.

Unraveling the complex world of logistics, we provide our existing and potential strategic global customers with integrated logistics solutions.

Our DHL SmartSolutions IoT team is part of the global Innovation Center program at DHL, with locations in Cologne/ Troisdorf, Singapore, Chicago, and Dubai.

Our Innovation Centers engage with customers, partners and our business divisions to explore, develop and showcase logistics trends and solutions for the world of today and tomorrow and leverage the potential of our Group.

Embedded in this environment, the DHL SmartSolutions IoT team shapes the IoT landscape by scouting, selecting, and provisioning of technologies & solutions for DHL and its customers.

Job Purpose

As a working student in the DHL SmartSolutions IoT team you will support us in our day-to-day business, learn about our customers and the logistics industry and get a valuable insight into the Innovation of our solutions.

During your work you will gain insights into all operational tasks of our start-up like team and will be taking over an important role to the success of the DHL SmartSolutions IoT Team.

Your tasks

Support the DHL SmartSolutions IoT team in daytoday operational tasks and projects
Prepare physical shipments of sensor devices for customers
Conduct onboardings, trainings and provide support for customers of the DHL SmartSolutions IoT solution portfolio
Support temperature mappings for our cold chain logistic colleagues in the LifeScience & Healthcare sectors
Perform data analytic tasks and market research
Design and conduct of ProofofConcepts and test new technologies for IoT use cases together with our suppliers, customers and partners

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Engineering/Computer Science or Business Administration
Industrial or Logistics preferred
Fluent in English; German would be an advantage
Inspired, openminded and outgoing
Passionate and curious about technology and innovation
Customercentric with a talent for solving the unmet needs of customers
Ability to work independently and well organized with a high selfmotivation
Understanding of technical and logístical processes and work streams
Interest in IoT technologies
Intermediate skills in Excel, Powerpoint, MS Suite.
Knowledge of MS Power Platform tools such a Power BI, Power Automate etc. preferred.
