Enable new business models and ensuring a best-in-class individual customer experience along the E2Ecustomer journey with state-of-the-art eCommerce platforms aligned with the Business eCommerce/go-to-market strategy, the IT Digital Sales strategy, enterprise architecture and technology trends.


Responsibilities and Role:

As Head (f/m/d) of eCommerce Platform,

  • You will act as the competence center for B2B eCommerce platforms group wide
  • Together with the business, your team and other contributing Siemens parties you develop IT solutions for digital interactions and transactions on Siemens Digital Sales Channels with Customers, partners and developers
  • The eCommerce platforms you are responsible for support different type of products like SW, HW, Services, APIs and different type of contracts, e.g. subscription, license, dynamic or fixed price
  • You are designing and building the Siemens Marketplace, contributing on delivering the underlying architecture and core components. This includes selling capabilities for customers, partners and developers and adjacent functionalities like partner management solutions, digital customer service contact for omnichannel communication and case management
  • At the same time, you are responsible for designing and implementing a common eCommerce backend and other common components which support several Siemens frontends including the Siemens Marketplace and other frontends, with the aim to simplify the current IT landscape
  • You guide and steer the e2e connectivity and development between frontend and backend components of the Siemens Marketplace and other sales channels to enable a seamless customer experience across all Siemens Digital sales Channels
  • You will be responsible for leading and growing a team of senior architects, business analysts and service managers that interface with business product portfolio responsible
  • You and your team will be working closely with the product business units/ verticals, the Business IT, the Technology UX and Communication departments to ensure the underlying IT strategy for eCommerce and the Siemens Marketplace support the Go to Market strategy of the Businesses
  • You will be responsible for the related architecture, service and project portfolio and the associated budget
  • You will ensure stable and secure operations of the services in charge

Your Background:


  • The basis for your success is a master ́s or PhD in IT or business administration with focus on IT or a similar degree
  • In depth knowledge of processes and best practices in sales & marketing, business and contract models (e.g. subscription), multisided platforms (marketplaces) in industrial B2B business
  • You convince with strong management experience (58 years) and leadership skills for technical and functional teams in an international environment
  • You can converse on eye level with C-Suite, Executive Business Leaders from Sales & Marketing
  • You have solid experience with sales, customer service, eCommerce/ integration/ UX/UI technologies and cloud platforms. This includes off the shelf products like SalesForce, SAP BRIM, MSDynamics and other commercial cloud technologies, Frontend technologies like Adobe is a plus
  • You have Indepth knowledge of leadtocash processes, user experience and customer journeys
  • Besides that, you have solid commercial, numerical and analytical skills
  • Personally, you have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to build good working relationships with internal and external counterparts
  • Furthermore, you have strong team player skills and ability to work collaboratively and crossfunctionally with diverse individuals at all levels of an organization
  • As a proactive team worker, you have excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Fluent Business (contract and negotiation) English is required. German is a plus
