Responsibilities:


What you'll do:
Extensive experience supporting Windows Server, Linux and UNIX enterprise systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Assists with administrative tasks in support of maintaining servers.
  • Provides operation maintenance of servers in accordance with all DoD, Army, and local policies and regulations.
  • Reports monthly compliance status to Site Owner (SO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Provides monthly server support request reports.
  • Reviews system logs for anomalies and report any findings to the SO and ISSM.
  • Upgrades hardware and software of servers in accordance with SO and ISSM guidance.
  • Provides technical assistance for IMCOM-E server upgrades.
  • Provides server support within response times.
  • Under general supervision install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
  • Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly status reports.

Qualifications:
BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5


Education and Experience Required:


  • Must possess the approved baseline certifications for IAT Level II, identified in DoD Manual. (Sec +) etc.
  • Computing Environment certification (can be done during onboarding).
  • Minimum education level and experience (BA/BS & 5+ years) or (AA & 7+ years).

Customer Relationship:


  • Emphasis on customer success by ensuring customer requirements are addressed with a sense of urgency and within time constraints.
  • Active participant in customer visits and service reviews.
Extensive experience supporting Windows Server, Linux and UNIX enterprise systems.

Salary Range:

Salary Minimum:
$57,500

Salary Mid:
$115,000

Salary Maximum:
$143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short
