Your Scope

As a Supplier Assurance Officer, Europe you will work across international borders and functional departments for a wide pool of Ardo suppliers based in Europe and contribute towards the overall development & implementation of Ardo's Group Procurement and Vendor Assurance strategy.

In this role, you must recognize opportunities and risks across the supply base by carrying out supplier audits and provide solutions to the business to mitigate those risks to ensure compliance.

Your key responsibilities and challenges:

As a Supplier Assurance Officer, Europe you manage product quality, food safety, social & ethical, sustainability and regulatory compliance of externally purchased products by Ardo Group (frozen fruit / veg / herbs & ingredients) across Europe.

Perform supplier audits across Europe, follow up on corrective action plan implementation and facilitate the supplier classification exercise
Identify potential strategic partners and promote the development of supplier partnerships, through knowledge transfer, guidance, and support
Manage supplier complaints on purchased fruit, veg and herbs & drive performance improvement of external suppliers based across your region

You work across international borders and Ardo group functional departments, contributing towards the overall development and growth of the supply base.

You recognize opportunities and manage risks on externally sourced products from Europe
You act as a bridge between our suppliers, group & local quality departments, procurement and commercial teams
You bring knowhow to the organization regarding sourcing and processing of frozen fruit, vegetables, and herbs across Europe

You provide technical assistance and support to the Ardo teams (mainly sales but also customer service, procurement, supply chain ) in terms of product knowhow and technical expertise regarding externally sourced products from Europe.

Develop quality tiering and value engineering for fruit. Have a good understanding of different customer requirements to adapt the quality of the products to their needs.

Profile:

You have a masters or an engineering degree in Food Science, Food processing Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Agriculture or similar Agri

Food related qualification.

You have a strong knowledge of fresh or frozen fruit sector
You have a strong verbal and written fluency in English - other languages are a plus
You have at least five years of working experience in quality/food safety department
You have experience of conducting internal audits and external supplier audits
You have a strong commercial awareness of food sector
You have knowledge and understanding of HACCP, GFSI schemes and EU regulations
You are a problem solver with a capacity to find agreement
You are a good communicator who enjoys working with people
You have strong organizational, planning and analytical skills
You can work with a high degree of autonomy but also in a supporting role
You are open to regular and extensive travel
