The Chair of Experimental Physics I - FFN at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy is looking for a

PhD Researcher (M/F/d) in Innovative Straw Detector Technologies in Hadron Physics Experiments for 3 years, 26,2878 hours per week, TVL E13:

Your tasks:

- plan and perform appropriate test measurements
- including the analysis of the test data

Your profile:

- an excellent university degree (master or diploma) in experimental physics in the field of particle or hadron physics
- experience with of interests in particle detectors, in particular gaseous detector technologies for track reconstruction of charged particles
- good programming skills for software development in C/C++ (Linux environment)
- you enjoy to work with other students and the scientific and technical staff of the institute and of the various workshops
- interest to present and publish your work
- enjoy working in an international team and within big experiment collaborations
- a high level of spoken and written German and English
