  • In our secondary school about 415 students are learning and preparing for the Cambridge IGCSE and IBDP final exams. Our excellent academic results benchmarked against the International Schools' Assessment and the IGCSE and IB Diploma international examinations, are proof of the quality education we provide at Leipzig International School. The school is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools as well as the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Your tasks and responsibilities:


  • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment in which the students can discover and develop their intellectual, physical, social and creative potential
  • Promote the motto of our school "learning to be a citizen of the world", so that students develop the skills to think and act with openness to the perspectives, values and traditions of other individuals, cultures and communities, and thus develop an international understanding
  • Collaboratively plan, deliver and assess work for your classes in parallel with other department members
  • Deliver relevant, current and challenging lessons that will allow students to to make outstanding progress and grow in confidence as they prepare for their final exams
  • Provide authentic, formative feedback through which your students can improve their skills, knowledge and understanding plus develop their higher order thinking
  • Contribute to the work of the language B department and of the secondary school as a whole
  • Develop best practice in the secondary school through sharing expertise, experience and resources
  • Work as a contributing member of the secondary school to ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place and delivered uniformly
  • Work as a contributing member of Leipzig International School to ensure a cohesive approach to learning

Your profile:


  • A degree in Spanish
  • Valid Teaching License
  • High competency in written and spoken English
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as the use of IT and new technologies
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Proven ability as an excellent classroom teacher
  • Experience of working in an internationallyminded and diverse school community is preferred
  • Experience with an international curricula is preferred
  • Committed to our students and their learning, wellbeing and safety

  • Positive, encouraging and able to motivate students
