As the Commercial Europe Vice President/General Manager (VP GM) at Revvity, you will report into the Chief Commercial Officer and serve a pivotal member of the Commercial management team, steering the entire Europe region towards strategic goals.

This role involves overseeing commercial growth, expanding operating margins, and enhancing organizational capability.

With direct P&L responsibility, you'll play a crucial part in developing and executing customer strategies to drive growth and increase market share.

Managing a team of over 300 colleagues across sales and service professionals, you'll be working towards optimizing individual and team performance with a focus on continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership

  • Formulates a clear strategy for the Europe region to accelerate profitable growth and drive the organization while navigating a volatile environment.
  • Incorporates emerging trends and opportunities from market intelligence into actionable partnership opportunities with our customers.
  • Monitors and leverages market and competitor activities and provides relevant reports and information.
  • Executes a sales process that drives customer satisfaction and increased market penetration.
  • Identifies opportunities for gotomarket improvements, enhance market access, and build local organizational capabilities to fuel revenue growth.
  • Strategically partners with customers to ensure Revvity exceeds their needs and builds a longterm and loyal relationship.
  • Owns the relationship with the customer; maintaining and driving continuous improvement and communicating customer's needs internally.
  • Actively collaborates with product teams from inquiry through commercialization

P&L Leadership

  • Coordinates the development and execution of key performance goals for functions, direct reports & their teams.
  • Ensures the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates and decides upon key investments in infrastructure and talent.
  • Communicates strategy and results to the Executive Team during monthly business reviews (MBRs).
  • Monitors and drives success for the primary sales KPIs such as quote activity, customer service, order intake, sales, margin performance and expense management.
  • Communicates, liaises, and negotiates internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.

General Management

  • Applies business insight and drives broader organizational strategy and strategic planning.
  • Serves as the liaison with crossfunctional leaders to optimize service quality, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivates enterprise innovation and drives change across the region.
  • Promotes crossfunctional cooperation, removing organizational barriers to collaboration between commercial, R&D, Operations, and corporate functions, ensuring alignment with the European and global market strategy.
  • Represents the cohesive employee experience across all business units and segments operating throughout Europe.
  • Oversees key hiring and talent development programs, where applicable.
  • Emphasizes talent development and succession planning, ensuring a robust pipeline of skilled leaders to drive the company's future success.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's/Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of (Commercial) people leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of all business elements, including marketing, finance, sales operations, eCommerce, customer experience, supply chain, operations, logistics, and legal.
  • Must be able to travel 40% of the time.
  • Strong ability to influence and gain alignment from key stakeholders, comfortable presenting to Csuite.
  • Outstanding coaching, motivation, and overall people leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal forms.
  • Versatile and dedicated to efficient productivity.

Highly Preferred:

  • Experience in the Life Science and/or Diagnostics industry.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy customercentric solutions.
  • Understanding of working with inside sales, field sales, global service and support operations, and field service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage diverse activities simultaneously.
  • Metrics and resultsoriented with a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
  • Utilizes a sense of urgency to get problems solved.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues.
