Accountant/Finance Specialist plays a crucial role in helping businesses make informed financial decisions. The responsibilities include collecting, tracking, and ensuring the accuracy of the company's finances throughout the year.

Here are the key duties and skills associated with this role:


Managing Accounting Transactions:


  • Handling all accounting transactions
  • Supporting during monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts e.g. inventory (reconciliation between exitB system and D365), accounts payable and receivable,
  • Coordinating contacts with assigned suppliers such as petrol cards, leasing contracts, office rental;

Tax/Payroll Compliance and Reporting:


  • Processing tax payments and preparing tax returns (contact with tax authorities)
  • Excise tax: relationship, calculation/reporting, registrations to customs on excise tax topics
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Support in reporting on the company's financial health and liquidity.
  • To be interface with payroll bureau on labor issues
  • To prepare and file packaging reporting to external reporting vendor
  • Intrastat and ECMS reporting

Auditing and Confidentiality:


  • Supporting Head of Finance during internal and external audits

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Prior 2 years' work experience as an Accountant.
  • Good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), knowledge of IFRS will be a plus
  • Handson experience with accounting software like Microsoft D365 will be a huge asset
  • Good MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Accounting/Finance related degree
  • Accounting qualification (or working towards one) is seen as a plus
  • Fluent in German and good (at least B2) knowledge of English
