Your Role- Develop a digital eye twin that models the post-surgical changes in the eye, from a biomechanical point of view- Evaluate simulation results against alternative modeling approaches and/or real experimental data- Report and present your results- Work closely with experts in biomechanical simulation and digital eye twin concept- Work with other students, as well as researchers and engineers in a collaborative environment at the newly built ZEISS Innovation Hub Karlsruhe, right on site of the KIT-campus north

Your Profile- You are enrolled in a Bachelor/Master's program in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics (preferably), Medical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable- You have basic knowledge of structural mechanics concepts and finite element method- You have basic knowledge of the following programming languages: Python, C++- Experience with Ansys and contact modeling is a plus- Fluent English language skills- A hands-on mentality, an open mind, excellent problem-solving, communication and innovation skills- Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for innovative technologies as well as motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams
