Centre for

Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (CeTI) a position as


Research Associate / PhD Student (M/F/x)***starting
-
as soon as possible. The position is limited until December 31, 2025. The period of
- employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz
  • WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e.g. PhD). ***The Junior Professorship in Computer Science, specifically Tactile Computing conducts research in the
- fields of model-based design, quality assurance and explainability of intelligent cyber-physical
- systems and self-adaptive systems. In particular, new algorithms and models will be developed to
- enable optimal and safe human-machine collaboration through mutual adaptation: systems should
- adapt to humans and situations, and provide appropriate explanations to enable users to assess and
- adapt to the system behaviour.

Tasks:

- research in at least one of the above areas
- development of case studies
- publication and presentation of results at international conferences
- close cooperation with academic and, if applicable, industrial partners
- project-related supervision of student theses.


Requirements:
university degree (Dipl., M.Sc.) in computer science, mathematics or a related
discipline; knowledge of at least one of the above-mentioned research areas and their theoretical
foundations; good English skills and very good scientific writing skills; structured, reliable and
independent working.
