SUMMARY:


The
Director, Finance is reporting to the CFO of AGC Biologics and
is responsible for managing the Heidelberg Finance department, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead, manage and coach the Heidelberg Finance team
  • Structure, resource and inspire staff to maximize productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and teamwork
  • Serve as a fully contributing member of the Heidelberg Leadership Team
  • Coordinate the monthend close process
  • Prepare and approve journal entries
  • Review account reconciliations
  • Support and Manage cash balances of key accounts and overall treasury tasks
  • Maintain internal controls in accordance with JSOX (Japan SOX)
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting and General Accounting functions
  • Manage Tax filings
  • Support and manage interim and yearend Accounting and Operational audits (JSOX)
  • Support and manage Record and Reconcile Stage Revenue
  • Ensure system output is well structured, reliable and easily understood
  • Ensure that the organization's accounting records are maintained in accordance with established legal, regulatory (e.g. tax) and company standards
  • Identify key priorities and problems, obtain relevant information, identify root causes and generate alternative solutions to reach sound management decision
  • Other adhoc duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:


  • Advanced Excel Skills & Digitization and Automation of processes is important
  • MS Dynamics Ax/D365 or other ERP experience
  • Host Analytics/Planful or Reporting/Budgeting tool experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both English and German; Passion to work cross functionally and with global sites in the network
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and embrace a "no task too big or too small" attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage staff
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks utilizing organization and prioritization skills
  • Driven to meet timelines
  • Resultsorientated
  • Ability to work cross functionally both with US and global sites of AGC Biologics mainly with Finance/accounting
  • Develops and maintains adequate customer satisfaction levels with internal and external audiences

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Must possess a minimum of 10 years Accounting/Finance experience
  • Experience managing a team
  • Knowledge of HGB and IFRS must have
