Job Description
Overview:

LDC is on the lookout for a Coffee Sales Trader to be based in Hamburg to support LDC Coffee desk development in Germany and North Europe.

In this multifaceted role, you will play a key part in improving our coffee presence in the region.

You will collaborate with other LDC trading desks as well as our research, sustainability, execution, and coffee origination teams globally.

Main responsibilities:

Commercial:

Manage relationships with your clients.
Understand region's commercial needs and develop a strategy to respond to them.
Aid in in the execution of the global coffee sales strategy and support the business development in the region through proposals, planning and possibly implementation of new trade flows.

Sustainability:

Work with our sustainability team to lead commercial discussions regarding sustainability and the evolving regulatory environment.
Communicate effectively on all the sustainable tools and solutions LDC can offer.

Trading:

Contribute to the discussions related to our trading decisions and support the execution of the strategies in the EMEA region.

Market intelligence:

Coordinate with our research team to help the platform better understand the market trends and anticipate our clients' needs.

Execution:

Coordinate the various functions involved in the execution of your sales contracts, including the control of possible demurrage, inventory management, invoice payments, risk exposure, quality control etc. from origin to final contracted terms.

Reporting:

Look after all aspects of reporting such as CRM management, contract entries, Risk assessment, etc.
Experience
Experience:5+ years of coffee trading/sales experience in relevant destination markets

Academics:
University degree in Economics or Business.

Additional Information
Skills:
Ability to clearly articulate complex topics
Personable
Dedicated
Willingness to learn internal LDC systems (EKA, CRIS, Power Bi, CRM, etc.)

Languages:
English and German. Any other language is a plus.
