    Job Opportunity: Leader for Laundry Facility or Building Cleaner

    We are looking for a Leader for a laundry facility or a Building Cleaner for a part-time project in the Wilmersdorf district starting as soon as possible. This position entails 30 hours per week.

    The ideal candidate should have a background as a textile cleaner, housekeeper, tailor, retail professional specializing in textiles, building cleaner, or similar qualifications.

    Pinel gGmbH has been offering outpatient support services for individuals with mental health conditions in Berlin. We focus on providing assistance in housing, employment, work, care, medical treatment, and integrated support. Our team, spread across four districts, consists of over 360 dedicated employees. We are committed to collaborating with individuals affected by mental health conditions to help them lead independent and personalized lives.

    Within our vibrant day center, we run a laundry facility as part of a supplementary income program for individuals with mental health conditions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Independent leadership in structuring work processes
    • Participation in the supplementary income projects for building cleaning or laundry services
    • Guiding individuals with mental health conditions in laundry-related tasks, such as equipment/machine operation training
    • Participation in all laundry or building cleaning processes
    • Laundry store duties: receiving, inspecting, treating, and distributing laundry
    • Acquiring new customers
    • Collaborating with educational staff
    • Participation in team meetings

    Profile:

    • Preferably trained as a textile cleaner, housekeeper, building cleaner, or related profession; knowledge of different textiles and their cleaning procedures
    • Pedagogical skills in handling individuals with psychiatric conditions
    • Thorough and environmentally-friendly machine operation
