The Cultivated B is a highly innovative and science-driven biotechnology and bioengineering company which focuses on scaled alternative protein production and cellular agriculture technologies to systematically identify and develop new molecular resources like cell lines, growth

Committed to industrially scale alternative protein production we operate large production facilities for bioreactors and proteins in North America.

Our customers are biotechnology-, pharma-, cosmetics-, food production-, agriculture companies. Companies for alternative protein production and cultivated meat will contribute to our customer portfolio. Positioned to shape future protein markets, TCB also addresses new entrants in plant
- and cell-based food and beverage production incl. but not limited to cultivated meat.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced:

Accountant (M/F/d) part-time (approx. 20h/week)
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our company.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.


Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the daytoday accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and general ledger.
  • Post bank accounts and prepare payment runs.
  • Support the preparation of the monthly and yearly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly and yearly VAT tax returns.
  • Support financial planning and analysis activities, including variance analysis.
  • Report directly to the Head of Finance and collaborate closely to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Successfully completed business education including relevant professional experience (min. 3 years) in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices of HGB and preferable also IFRS.
  • Proficiency in the accounting function of an ERP Systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and MS Office.
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced and dynamic startup environment.
  • Fluency in German (at least C1) and English is a must.
