These are your responsibilities:


Group "Energy Economics" including:

  • Technical supervision of 3 scientific YIG members (TV-L E13; each for 36 months) in the field of energy economics.
  • Coordination and execution of outstanding research work in the field of technoeconomic energy systems modeling, especially with respect to uncertainty as well as econometric model development and validation
  • Scientific coordination of technoeconomic energy system modeling in the EECON Lab in close cooperation with internal and external project partners (especially 50HzT and FhG IEG)
  • Reflective scientific coordination in the wide range of disciplines of the five other EIZ-Labs and the further EIZ-YIGs as well as with the respective internal and external project partners on an interdisciplinary level
  • Preparation of contributions for reports and presentations as well as other research related administrative tasks.
Independent research in the EECON Lab of the EIZ, including:

  • Publication of your research results in high-ranking journals and conferences including active participation in (inter-)national conferences.

Your Skills:


  • You have successfully completed an academic university degree (accredited Master's degree/university diploma or equivalent) in a field relevant to the job (economics, electrical engineering, power engineering, applied mathematics, business mathematics, or comparable) as well as an outstanding PhD in an area of the abovementioned fields, preferably within the last 34 years.
  • A strong ability to work scientifically, an independent, goaloriented and forwardlooking approach, high resilience and flexibility as well as communication skills and creativity complete your profile.
