The Position:

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for data-driven decision-making? We have an exciting opportunity for you to make a significant impact at Boehringer Ingelheim.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to align our Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) objectives across all functions, spearhead benchmarking efforts, and deliver valuable insights to refine our processes and elevate overall performance.

In this pivotal role, you will have the autonomy to develop a framework for ongoing performance management of GRA tasks, and to create and advance Business Intelligence tools that support strategic decision-making.

Join us in championing a culture of data-driven decision-making, fostering ongoing improvement, and seamlessly integrating strategic goals with operational implementation.

This position can be filled in Germany (Ingelheim or Biberach) or in the US (Ridgefield).

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Imagine yourself at the helm of strategic planning, developing and implementing plans to create performance metrics that align with our longterm goals. You'll identify opportunities for improvement, set strategic priorities, and ensure initiatives are executed effectively.
  • Are you ready to take charge of data quality? You'll ensure that the data driving our performance metrics are available and of sufficient quality, and if not, you'll create a plan to capture such data within our organization.
  • Picture yourself as the liaison between Global Regulatory Affairs and other departments, fostering strong relationships and promoting effective communication. You'll ensure alignment of strategic objectives and seamless integration of regulatory processes across our organization.
  • Envision facilitating communication and reporting of performance metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and promoting a culture of accountability. You'll be the one to keep everyone informed and accountable.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by continuously researching industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices. You'll use this knowledge to inform strategic decisionmaking and drive benchmarking initiatives.
  • Think about the impact you can make by adhering to national and international regulatory and legal rules, scientific medical and submission standards. You'll help maintain compliance and avoid potential penalties, fines, or delays in product approvals, ensuring our competitive advantage.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, biology, or a similar discipline, demonstrating a solid foundation in the relevant field. A PhD in the relevant field is a bonus.
  • Extensive experience in a data & analytics role within the pharmaceutical industry, showcasing a deep understanding of the sector and its unique challenges.
  • Exceptional analytical prowess, with the ability to dissect complex data sets, identify trends, and derive meaningful insights, using statistical analysis tools and techniques.
  • Superior communication skills to effectively articulate complex information to diverse audiences, coupled with excellent project management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Profound problemsolving skills and adaptability, with an ability to identify potential issues, analyze problems, develop effective solutions, and adapt to new situations and changes in direction.
