The role
To organize and execute the activities with relation to leaf sample management.

The key focus is on receiving, checking and storing the tobacco samples as well as organizing tobacco inspections at external leaf warehouses.


This is a part time (50%) vacancy.

Key accountabilities

  • To inspect tobacco deliveries (for Germany only) and to inform leaf buyers in case of nonconformities
  • To write inspection reports and maintain the departmental data base
  • To receive, check and store tobacco samples
  • To prepare master samples and to make sure that residues and ground samples are analysed accordingly
  • To prepare tobacco samples and test cigarettes for tobacco validation and smoking sessions
  • To support Consumables Realisation in project work

Skills & experience

  • Excellent MS-Office knowledge
  • Sound statistics knowledge
  • Fluent in English
  • Pronounced capabilities of teamwork and communication
  • Intercultural awareness
  • Preferably a knowledge of tobacco, leaf quality and validation principles (otherwise training onthejob)
