The IPF-Institute of Polymer Materials is looking for a

  • Postdoctoral Researcher (M/F/d), 40 hours/week
- to work on the project "BioReconstruct
  • Development of a starchbased mesh implant pocket
"Description:

- industrial partner, focusing on the development of a three-dimensional têxtile implant. The research will involve investigating and mechanically
- testing the suitability of bio-based nonwovens or foams for integration into the têxtile manufacturing process. Additionally, you will work closely
- with the IPF team to create virtual models as a basis for manufacturing stress-adapted têxtiles. In addition, you will be responsible for the
- independent design and development of a special test bench to assess whether the quality requirements for the networks are met.

Requirements:

  • Ph.
D. degree in Textile Engineering or Materials Science with a focus on biomaterials, or Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Science and

Engineering, or a related discipline;- In-depth knowledge and experience in the field of biomaterials, fibres, têxtile manufacturing processes, and têxtile testing methods;

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities;
  • Strong analytical, planning and problemsolving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in an international environment and
  • Enjoyment in supervising students.
