We are looking for students (M/F/d) of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or comparable courses of study with a keen interest in programming.

You will join our civil & structures department.

As our new student assistant (M/F/d), you will be part of a team of 30+ specialists working with design of offshore steel structures predominantly within the wind industry and offshore substations.

You will be working together with engineers and CAD designers located in Esbjerg, Denmark and Chennai, India.

We have an open-minded and informal culture in the department, and you will work with both newly qualified and experienced senior engineers.

As a student assistant (M/F/d) you will support our engineers in the implementation of various evaluation and simulation methods.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Support development of our internal FEM design software used for offshore steel design.
  • Facilitate development of new tools that can improve and automate our design process.
  • Work together with Ramboll's software development team based in Esbjerg and Hamburg.

For this role, we believe your starting point is:


  • Enrolled student at a university
  • Good grades in university courses
  • Basic understanding of programming, preferably in Python
  • An analytical and structured way of thinking
  • Ability to work independently and remotely via MS Teams
- (Optional) Willing to take occasional trips to Esbjerg, DK
