The Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering (FVST) seeks to fill the following vacancy at the Institute of Chemistry (ICH):
Research Associate / PostDoc (M/F/d) as part of the ERC project 3DPartForm

Salary scale:

13 TV-L

Job description:

Tasks:

Synthesis of monomers / macromers for surfactant design (e.g., ABA, AB copolymers)
Implementation of multifunctionality / responsiveness towards triggered degradability (e.g., via light, mechanical forces, sound)
Characterization of surfactant properties and decomposition products via NMR, IR, light scattering
Development of first independent research profile
Publication in peerreviewed journals

Requirements profile:

Master's degree and PhD in chemistry, soft matter, polymer sciences, macromolecular chemistry
Experience in microfluidics and amphiphile design as well as organic synthesis under inert conditions (Schlenk technique) is a plus
