Job Summary

  • This role will consist in taking care of Customer projects within EMEA region, with travels as needed for projects execution and broader customers' engagement, Requires German speaker.
  • What you'll do
  • Be the lead for Customer projects consisting in deploying EXFO solutions in Customer environment.
  • Be the main Point of Contact between Customer and EXFO for all project matters (project progress, planning, meeting, acceptance negotiation).
  • Drive the assigned projects from Purchase Order reception until project closure:
  • Planning of all activities
  • Kickoff (internal and with customer) preparation and animation
  • Booking and synchronization of resources (Engineering, Installation, Commissioning, Professional Services)
  • Tracking execution, anticipation and mitigation of risks
  • Project financials and invoicing including revenue recognition
  • Reporting


  • Customer interface

  • Handover to Support
  • Contribute to presales phase notably to check the implementation proposal within the offer; support Sales/Pre-Sales teams for any operational matter.
  • Success metrics: customer satisfaction, projects delivered on time / on budget / with expected quality.

  • Technical skills
  • Commercial and contract management experience
  • Project planinng tools
  • Good technical knowledge of 2G/3G/4G & 5G protocols and of IT domain
- kubernetes implementation and Managed Services experience will be appreciated

  • Advanced query (SQL) and scripting languages as a minimum, deeper software development languages and skills an advantage

  • Must have

  • Pertinent experience: 5 to 10 years of successful experience as Project Manager in mobile telecommunications environment, IT and international environment
  • Language requirements: Native in German and Fluent in English. Additional languages would be an advantage
  • Education: BS/MS Degree level in Telecom, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management and Leadership or equivalent

Location/Travel:


  • Location ideally near Leipzig or Munich
  • Work is performed, with wide variation, from EXFO local office, personal home office or onsite at Customer Office
  • Any other combination of experience/studies will be considered._
