Are you an employment counsel excited to help us scale our growth in Germany? You will work from our Düsseldorf office, mainly with the German HR team located across Germany, and with the rest of the legal team located in Amsterdam.

You will get a 360 view of Picnic and work on a wide range of employment matters, both independently and together with other members of our legal team and business teams.

Topics will range from the general labor setup and co-determination to a variety of compliance matters and disputes—the full package.

What you'll do

Be responsible for employment law topics in Germany
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and policies, e.g., employment contracts, contracts with temp agencies or payroll companies, various policies, and more
Advise internal stakeholders, mainly HR, on legal topics arising over the course of projects and deal with daytoday legal questions, compliance matters, and disputes on labour law
Make sure we'll stay up to date on new laws and regulations and organise legal training for stakeholders

About you

Degree in

German Law: 1st & 2nd Staatsexamen
years of relevant professional experience as a lawyer with a medium-sized or large law firm and/or in-house

Proficient in English and German
A pragmatic and commercial approach to legal matters
Able to work independently as well as together with other legal counsels and business teams
