Northern Europe E-Commerce Director in Hamburg

The E-Commerce Director we are looking for is responsible for the end-to-end E-Commerce channel with constant tracking and delivery of revenue KPI and media expenditures efficiency (ROI).You will define EE cluster E-Commerce and digital marketing strategy ensuring it is in line with the global digital strategy.


As a Northern Europe E-Commerce Director your overall responsibility will be for the E-Commerce commercial operations and business development, including sales growth, cost control and platform development.

PANDORA has partnered with an international E-Commerce solutions provider to operate online sales on estores and to open estores in new markets.

You will have a central role between the PANDORA Northern Europe, local organizations and the external partner.


Key responsibilities are:


  • Execute the global E-Commerce strategy provided by HQ, which both grows the relationship with our markets and clusters and the consumer and leverages our strong retail partner network
  • Lead the coordination of all E-Commerce development activities executed by Headquarters, including the integration and implementation of improvement on the estore (website and backend platforms)
  • Manage digital marketing plan and calendar ensuring communications and campaigns support overall sales and marketing objectives
  • Ensure new solutions driving conversion rate and traffic to online store
  • Cooperate closely with Global E-Commerce team in Copenhagen
  • Local operational and business leadership for delivery of global E-Commerce projects
  • Financial and commercial performance management of the E-Commerce business
  • Ensure operational eCom fulfillment is running in Belgium, Switzerland and Norway
  • Delivery of local E-Commerce trading, merchandising and operational plans in line with the global strategy
  • Overall responsible for the estore operational forecasts, sales revenue and operational costs, and follow up on actual results
  • Overall responsible for evaluation for Northern Europe cluster opportunities, budgets and prioritization based on ROI, including supporting the planning and execution by the team.

Skills and experience:


  • Analytics and insights to drive E-Commerce and wider business strategy
  • Strong people leader and seasoned E-Commerce professional with maturity and commercial experience to operate as part of the business leadership team
  • Passionate about the commercial side of retail E-Commerce with demonstrated experience in generating accurate sales and order volume forecasts and driving the website trading strategy to achieve these within a fast paced retail environment
  • High commercial acumen with analytical, operational and performance optimization skills to drive sustainable online sales growth without relying on promotions or discounting
  • Natural curiosity to continuously test and learn, seeking out meaningful measurement and insights in everything to do
  • Proven track record of strong leadership / people skills and at least 5 years of experience with management skills. Experience in successful managing teams
  • Min. 5 years of experience of managing E-Commerce and international rollout, preferable B2C either from a subsidiary or Headquarter function
  • Experience in being budget responsible and gained experience with revenue forecasting, reporting etc.
  • Ability to display diplomatic between stakeholders internally and externally in all situations
  • Pragmatic approach to solving issues
  • High degree of structure in work and thought processes and driven by goals and targets
  • Passionate about the digital space and online consumer retail experience, with an understanding of the Northern Europe consumer in regard to shopping and retail
  • Knowing the importance of building a strong and motivated team and showing and interest in developing the team professionally and on a personal level
  • Aware that the success of the PANDORA estores depends on the team's performance
  • Communicate in a clear, concise and structured manner
  • Take pride in presentation and having outgoing interpersonal skills
  • Experience within the jewelry or fashion industry is an advantage
