This Opportunity:


Your Impact:


  • Load and unload of cargo and baggage on and off government owned or contracted aircraft, surface conveyances, and commercial pallet dollies IAW AMCI 24101, Volume 11and other applicable instructions.
  • Validate, select, stage and upload aircraft loads utilizing the load plan.
  • Ensure water coolers, ice chests and freezer are stocked with water and ice for each shift.
  • Remove all trash from aircraft other than AMC Contracted Aircraft.
  • Assist Cargo Movement Section to facilitate onward movement of cargo / mail.
  • Buildup / breakdown baggage pallets, multipallet trains, loose cargo, and mixed pallets.
  • Offload / upload baggage from AMC rotator missions and transport vehicles.
  • Operate Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES)/ GDSS when performing Ramp Dispatch duties.
  • Weigh and record accurate cargo and baggage weights.
  • Escort trucks and buses.
  • Ensure all companycontrolled areas are clean and neat in appearance.
  • Properly park all vehicles per the published vehicle parking plan.
  • Perform the safe and correct operation of a Kloaders, forklifts, buses, tugs, vans or other required vehicles and the daily inspection, documentation and turnin (to maintenance) vehicles in need of repair or service.
  • Assist with wingwalker duties as needed.
  • Understand and abide by the standards set forth for ethical behavior and integrity as detailed in the Code of Business Conduct.
  • Uses all equipment safely
  • Performs other duties as required

Who You Are:


Required Qualifications

  • Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license from their home country with validity for 12 months from onsite employment date
  • Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from onsite employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization.
  • Must be CAC eligible and able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Additional Required Qualifications

  • 18+ years of age
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
  • Fluent English reading and writing skills to be able to read and understand AMCI guidance for daytoday work requirements.
  • Must have computer skills to be able to operate and understand the web based Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) and/or any replacement government system.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance (level of clearance may vary depending on specific site requirements).
  • Must be a SOFA Status ID holder.
  • Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
  • Comply with Company Drug and Alcohol policy

The Ramp Operations Technician will be required to work in all areas of ATGHS

NOTE 2:
The Ramp Operations Technician is a physically challenging position; extended periods of standing, walking, pushing and lifting are required
