Fraud and Quality Assurance Specialist (gn) - based in Munich


Working as part of the EU Claims Team, the Fraud and Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our claims handling services meet the quality standards of our defined procedures while establishing robust fraud controls.

The jobholder (gn) helps shape the overall governance of our operational processes, policies and controls; and identifying ways to improve the overall quality of claims handling while reducing leakage.

This might include recommending new processes, conducting research into best practices or even helping to develop training programs for claims underwriters.

This role reports directly to the European Head of Claims Standards and Performance.


Responsibilities:


  • Setup and improve bestinclass quality control claims procedures aiming to improve our service, reduce leakage and/or comply with changing insurance / legal standards.
  • Conduct audits of guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with the company claims standards
  • Setup fraud processes, controls and reporting and support local teams to improve our overall fraud capabilities. Train claims underwriters and Implement continuous improvement practices to reduce fraud leakage.
  • Conduct peer reviews including feedback to claims underwriters and reporting
  • Review customer complaints and suggest improvements when necessary
  • Conduct research on new technology/way of handling claims that could improve effectiveness in handling claims and customer satisfaction
  • Report any issues with processes to the claims underwriters, team leaders and/or Claims Manager for correction

Profile:


  • Extensive experience in claims handling either property damage and liability claims
  • Experience in handling Fraud claims and potentially in setting up effective fraud controls
  • Enthusiastic team player with good relationship and empathy skills
  • Can demonstrate critical analysis and decisionmaking skills
  • Can effectively promote a strong compliance culture and general awareness of regulatory risks.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and an ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Someone unafraid to provide quality advice and guidance to all areas of the business, constructively challenging and proposing pragmatic solutions to the issues encountered
  • Good report writing skills and communication skills (in German and in English. Another European language is a plus)
  • Creative, proactive, logical and innovative you do not accept the status quo
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality, service and problem management; defining best practice
