Your Tasks
Research tasks (100 %) with a focus on

- metabolic engineering for the use of alternative substrates, especially of marine origin
- synthetic biology approaches for the production of aromatic compounds
- cultivation of Corynebacterium, also in synthetic consortia with other microorganisms

Your Profile

We expect
- completed relevant scientific university studies (e. g. Master or Diploma) in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or any related field
- relevant experience in standard molecular biology techniques
- knowledge and experience in metabolic engineering of Corynebacterium
- knowledge and experience with cultivation of Corynebacterium
- knowledge and practical experience for the production of aromatic compounds
- knowledge and practical experience in HPLC analysis of fermentation products and intermediates
- confident handling of common office and laboratory software
- very good written and spoken German and/or English language skills
- independent, self-reliant and dedicated style of work
- strong organisational and coordination skills
- cooperative and team-oriented work style
- high motivation

Preferred experience and skills

- experience with microcultivation systems
