The Senior People Operations Specialist plays an instrumental role in supporting an exceptional employee experience at Navan and ensuring that our values and culture resonate throughout the organization.

Some of the things you will help own include the day to day People Operations, including managing the onboarding and offboarding experience, compliance, and managing the data in our HRIS Workday.

You will have the opportunity to create, implement, and improve upon various programs and processes that support our teams as we continue to scale our company, globally.


What You'll Do:


  • You are the face behind our People team on various employee lifecycle matters (payroll, visas, employment law, pension, mobile work, policy interpretation, onboarding, offboarding etc.) with a high standerat of compliance and a best in class approach to people operations.
  • Manage and improve key People tools (Workday and a ticketing system) and processes to keep our organization running smoothly and ensure our HR data is updated timely and accurately.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and consistent responses to internal and external stakeholders and employees.
Liaison with authorities, insurance companies, and payroll team to ensure accurate employee data reporting and processing.

  • Foster relationships and partner with crossfunctional stakeholders and the broader People Ops team (including recruiting, Payroll, IT) to think creatively about building a better employee experience.
  • Manage employee life cycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding, preparation of employment contracts, extensions, certificates, and attestations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base resources and articles to enable team members and employees to be effective and selfdirected.

What We're Looking For:


  • Strong background in People Operations. You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience supporting EMEA countries in as a (Senior) People Operations Specialist, HR Coordinator, Payroll Specialist or similar role
  • You have a successful track record of supporting HR processes, employee resourcing; performance management and data management.
  • You have a working knowledge of HR systems such as Workday, Google Apps and ticketing systems.
  • You have an extremely high level attention to detail and strong organizational skills with ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Detailoriented, confident, selfstarter with exceptional prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Maintain a "can do" mentality with the ability to act with mínimal information.
  • A great communicator that can build strong working relationships with vendors, internal and external partners.
  • Fluent German and very good English skills (for the cooperation with our US colleagues).
  • You have a solution oriented mindset by proposing solutions in the face of ambiguity.
