About the opportunity


As a Senior Counsel, you will serve as the primary legal advisor on employment law-related issues and assist in resolving employee relations matters across our EMEA employee population.

You will also help establish employment law considerations and lead high-risk employee relations cases.

Reporting to the VP & Deputy General Counsel, Corporate, you will play a critical role in ensuring legal compliance and supporting our People team.


What to expect?

  • Provide practical advice on various employment issues across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA.
  • Manage internal dispute resolution and employmentrelated litigation.
  • Manage outside counsel for employment and nonemployment litigation.
  • Advise on Works Council interactions and organizational matters.
  • Assist the People Team and Talent Acquisition team on employerrelated matters.
  • Oversee the work of external counsel on Works Council matters.
  • Oversee and advise on expansion and mobility matters.
  • Support our People Team by collaborating on process and policy improvements.
  • Serve as an escalation point for HRBPs regarding HR issues.
  • Lead internal investigations and provide recommendations for resolving employee relations cases.
  • Support ethics compliancerelated policies and controls.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop employmentrelated policies and guidelines.
  • Draft and revise employmentrelated templates and handbooks.
  • Monitor legal and legislative developments for compliance.
  • Continuously seek out employment and compliance best practices.
  • Support merger and acquisition transactions and employee integration.
  • Work on crossfunctional projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in designing and leading training events on employment law and compliance.

What you need to be successful?

  • Qualified lawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction.
  • 6+ years of employment law experience, with at least 2 years inhouse.
  • Experience in employment and labor law in Germany, the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, or Denmark.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage legal risks and resolve disputes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience advising on Works Council matters and employment litigation.
  • Independent, selfstarter with a positive attitude.
  • Strong investigative and conflictresolution skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced, global environment.
  • Integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
  • Fluency in English, additional European language skills preferred.
  • Willingness to collaborate across different time zones and travel occasionally.
