Clean hydrogen is gaining importance as a reliable, sustainable energy source.

Green hydrogen - produced through renewable resources such as solar and wind - holds significant promise in meeting the world's future energy demands.

While the economics of green hydrogen are challenging today, primarily because the underlying costs and availability of renewable energy sources vary widely, but technologies are evolving, and regulations are coming into place.


  • We believe that Siemens will play a significant role in driving energy transition and forming the H2 market, and being successful in the growing and dynamic H2 market with an evolving ecosystem requires a setup with dedicated resources to position Siemens as a relevant player.

  • Across Siemens we have a broad portfolio addressing the needs of the different customer segments investing into hydrogen. The portfolio offering would include promoting SIMATIC PLCs, Process control systems, energy and process simulation and optimization on one hand together with Power distribution and power automation on the other.
  • The Hydrogen team encompassing a team of experts will be set up virtually, spanning different business units and will support our account managers and countries in winning market share and driving profitable business.
  • The CoC will be hosted in the Business Unit Electrification and Automation and closely collaborate with other Siemens Business Units as well as countries leading in the Hydrogen space.

What part will you play?

  • In your new role you will lead the global center of competence for H2. The CoC encompasses business development, portfolio alignment and strategy, technical support, and solution design for customer projects. You would be leading a virtual Center of Competence across different business units within the House of Siemens, to bring further to our customers the energy transition story
  • Furthermore, you will elaborate the strategy as well as the marketing & communication content to create demand and position Siemens in the H2 market
  • To bring the complete Siemens H2 portfolio together and to define future offering which differentiates us in the market is also part of your responsibilities
  • You enable our network of account managers to position our offering in the relevant industries (Chemical, Oil & Gas,) and address the broad ecosystem
  • To ensure we bring a holistic and competitive offer to the market you orchestrate the solution design of projects with the relevant business units
  • Leading, coaching, mentoring and inspiring your young and diverse team is also your task
  • You build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of positioning Siemens as a key stakeholder/influencer in the hydrogen space

What you need to make real what matters.

  • The base of your profile is a master's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or in a similar field
  • In addition you have many years of leadership experience and have lead a cross functional team across geographies
  • You have displayed entrepreneurship in promoting new concepts towards global customers
  • Furthermore, you have 10 + years of professional experience in the international customer engagement, gained extensive experience in the field of power distribution and process automation portfolio, together with general knowledge of the overall electrification and automation portfolio offering
  • You have demonstrated experience in solving complex system approaches in a structured manner together in a team
  • The ability to work in a team, to analyze and inspire the members helps you to lead selfdriven international teams, what you are looking forward to
  • You speak excellent English in addition to German for your work in a very international environment. Additional language skills will be considered an advantage
