Legal Intern (f/m/d)

for two months in March and April 2024.


Responsibilities:


As part of our Legal Team, you will support our Legal Counsels in their daily chores and projects covering the entire range of legal aspects of an international trading group.

You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment responding to current and new legal requirements especially in the fields of corporate law, supply chain legislation, food safety law, or data protection.

In support of the Legal Counsels, you will work in close liaison with the strategic departments of NKG's holding company as well as the local management and functional areas of subsidiary companies in producing and consuming countries.


Furthermore, your tasks include:

  • Review: You will review contracts and agreements, as well as ancillary documents such as our codes of conduct.
  • Update: You will research on current legal topics and make recommendations to the Legal Counsels.
  • Projects: You will get insight into the collaboration with our partners as you will assist the team with negotiations, deals and longterm implementation projects (existing and future project agreements, M&A, strategic projects, intercompany agreements).
  • Daytoday work: You will support the Legal Counsels in administration by drafting memos, legal analyses and reports for documentation and decisionmaking purposes.

Profile:


  • Background: You are enrolled in an international law, business law or equivalent Masters Degree Program.
  • Experience: First working experience in a law firm, legal department of a company, or institution (association, government agency, NGO, etc.) and a very good understanding of corporate governance, operations, policies, procedures and legal analytical skills are required.
  • Skills: You can show the ability to fulfill assignments, taking initiative with lean supervision and thinking independently.
  • Soft skills: Motivation, team spirit and intercultural competence are your strenghts.
  • MS Office: You are confident in handling common office programs.
  • Languages: Very good knowledge of written and spoken English is essential, desirable are Spanish, Portuguese and German.
