Reducing the levelised cost of energy of offshore wind fixed-bottom, floating and green hydrogen projects around the world is one of the corner stones for RWE Offshore Wind to deliver competitive projects.

Main objective of the LCOE & Tools team is the implementation of a systematic approach by engaging early with different stakeholders (e.g., in development) to assess the whole LCOE reduction potential, identifying resources needed within RWE to successfully implement those measures, sharing knowledge and lessons learned globally across technologies and facilitating an LCOE driven optimisation and company culture.


Your tasks/responsibilities:


The LCOE & Tools Team offers great possibilities:

  • You support generic or project specific LCOE/LCOH optimisation efforts in preparation of competitive bids and financial investment decisions. That means supporting the preparation of LCOE/LCOH knowledge sharing sessions, idea generation workshops and an active tracking of (mostly technical) optimisation measures to ensure their integration into final project business cases.
  • You support the LCOE/H project managers in carrying out targeted benchmark analyses to identify weak points of project in optimisation.
  • You support the further development and maintenance of our various LCOE/LCOH optimisation tools.
  • You support a prominent, transparent communication and standard reporting of the LCOE/LCOH initiatives within RWE Offshore Wind.
  • You support updating, illustrating and further developing process management documentation and guidelines of the LCOE & Tools team as well as presentations to certain stakeholders

Your profile:


  • Currently enrolled student at a university; course of studies such like business economics, industrial engineering etc.
  • Skilled in MS Office Applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Very good proficiency of English language
  • Proactive, reliable and structured working methods
  • Ability to drive your own assignment / workpackage
  • Open, team oriented and interdisciplinary interested
  • Openminded and enthusiastic about working in an international and intercultural business environment in the field of renewable energy
  • Some experience with digital tools and programming languages (e.g., python ) and a clear view on the role of digitalisation as enabler is appreciated
