As we scale across countries and borders, the Operations Team is critical in providing our members with a seamless and joyful experience.


This exciting opportunity will make you our first mix between short-term hospitality and long-term coliving property in Europe, as a vital member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for the quality of operations for the assigned location of your scope of work.

You can also be assigned for the repairs and maintenance of all Habyt units within the city of your employment.

Tasks

  • Manage maintenance related purchase orders, contracts and overall vendor related activities
  • Look at continuous ways to improve the property maintenance and upkeep as well as optimizing the maintenance expenditures
  • Attend to member queries and complaints in a timely manner
  • Handson for general repairs such as simple carpentry, electrical services, lighting, painting, plumbing and other general operational facilities
  • Manage corrective and preventive maintenance of building equipment and electronic devices such as digital door lock and fire alarm panel
  • Perform Rooms preventative maintenance as per Habyt standards.
  • Conduct general upkeep procedure and inspection of rooms for defects and assist in repairing the defects for example, ensuring drainages are chokefree
  • Regular reporting of maintenance issues and repairs in our properties ensuring property furniture and fixtures are in good condition
  • Manage the purchasing of parts as instructed by the operations team
  • Assist in incident reporting to the management team when required
  • Do the necessary unit repairs during a small gap of room vacant between member move out and new member move in
  • Anticipate major technical incidences by proactively reporting situations and doing repairs on time and in an adequate way
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guest room items.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in the relevant department or as a handyman
  • Must be with relevant handson experience in building related or hospitality industry
  • Resourceful, proactive and a team player
  • Basic to good interpersonal and communication skills, English required
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problemsolving skills
  • Detail oriented in his field of expertise
  • Basic computer knowledge to receive tickets and manage a daily schedule of tasks.
  • Able to work quickly under pressure
  • Prior experience as a Hotel maintenance will be a plus
Schedule

  • You will be working on a 5day/week basis on full shifts. However, your role is Operational, meaning our number one priority is being flexible and adapting to our Member / Guest needs. This may require you to have Over Time as well as it may mean that your roster will involve working on weekends and/or Public Holidays.
