We are a research, development, and production site in Bremen currently, with about 500 employees, whose "high-end" measurement and analysis instruments (mass spectrometers) are used in research and science worldwide.

Our innovative products in the fields of Life Sciences MS and Inorganic MS, as well as Trace Elemental Analysis, are among the leading products globally in their respective markets.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Scientist to join our dynamic Research & Development team in Bremen.

As a Technical Lead for new product developments, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and leading the development of new products within an existing platform.

As a key member of our R&D team, you will have the opportunity to lead product development projects and collaborate with our global network of sites.


  • Your primary focus will be on leading a talented team of technical professionals, guiding them in prioritizing experiments and analyzing data to solve complex technical problems. Working closely with our product management team, you will play a vital role in deriving detailed technical specifications and overseeing all stages of product development, from initial research to final production.
  • As an integral part of the project cycle, you will ensure seamless knowledge transfer to our operations, product support, and field service teams, enabling them to effectively support the newly developed instruments

Responsibilities:


  • Lead and empower a diverse team of skilled technical professionals, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment to successfully execute the project
  • Ensure high experimental quality and deep theoretical penetration throughout all stages of product development, from research to serial production
  • Embrace and overcome solutions and execution strategies for complex or novel issues
  • Create and maintain documents as part of the product development process
  • Effectively communicate development progress verbally and in writing to superiors and higher management
  • Represent the company in interactions with external customers and collaborators
Experience & Education

  • Several years of industrial experience in development of sophisticated analytic instrumentation after successful completion of a Doctoral degree in technical discipline
  • Expert knowledge of scientific principles in timeofflight mass spectrometry is required
  • First experience in a technical leadership role is highly appreciated
