Head of Tools Production Unit Renningen (m/w/d)

Renningen Tools Production is Sandvik Coromant's largest production unit for Tooling Systems, mainly in modular design for metal cutting. We focus on the development, design and manufacturing of holding tools and their production processes.

We are currently looking for a PU Director who will be responsible for the overall operations and employees of Renningen Tools Production by establishing and implementing the strategic direction and actions plans, which include managing activities in accordance with company strategy, goals and objectives.

In this position, you report directly to the Director of Global Tools Production.

About the job

Your main responsibilities include planning and development of strategic supply capabilities in terms of facilities, equipment and staffing.

You ensure that the manufacturing processes and operations are in line with Sandvik group standards and directives, and secure and implement plans to achieve supply goals.

To meet current and future human resource needs, you actively assess, recruit and develop workforce and ensure that the employees are highly motivated and act in line with Sandvik Core Values.

We constantly strive for improvements in all we do and we expect you to strengthen knowledge and skills through continuous education on advancements in manufacturing, leadership management concepts and theory from both an individual and organizational perspective.

About you


We are looking for someone with a relevant degree or equivalent knowledge obtained from previous assignments, and with senior leadership experience, including people management.

You have minimum 5 years of experience in operations management in any leading cutting tools, automobile or light engineering Industry in the field of manufacturing in a multinational environment.

As we operate in a global environment, you need excellent communication skills in German and English, both verbally and in writing.

We are sincerely interested in, and highly value your personality. We believe you possess strong leadership skills, independent thinking, organizational planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

You use your excellent interpersonal communication skills to build and maintain solid relationships and you have an ability to influence and promote a culture of safety, innovation and continuous improvement.

It is essential with finance capabilities, and skills within project management, performance management, as well as strategy and change management.
