We are looking for a

Director of Insurance (d/M/F) at the next possible date. This position takes a global and strategic lead role for the Corporate Insurance in EMEA, APAC and the AMERICAS. The position will be based in Munich, Germany, headquarter and reporting to the BayWa r.e. group's CFO.

What You Will Do:

Your develop a global industry insurance strategy for BayWa r.e. group
You manage, standardize, harmonize and optimize BayWa r.e. group's worldwide insurance coverage (industry insurances, e.g., EAR, CAR, professional indemnity)
You lead a team of insurance managers across the regions
You are the key contact for global insurance brokers and other stakeholders
You set standards and provide guidance on local, regional and global insurance coverage
You provide central structures for documenting and archiving insurance coverage, cost and terms
You collect and own insurance financials on a global level and ensure timely insurance risk reporting
You ensure marketstandard premiums and their proper allocation within BayWa r.e. group
You participate in risk assessment, loss prevention and claims handling

What You Bring:

A Degree in insurance business, insurance science or training and further education in the insurance sector
At least 5 years of relevant experience either in a global coporate or insurance industry
Leadership experience is a plus
Experience in controlling and risk reporting
Business fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
High degree of service and problem management skills by defining best practices and proposing pragmatic solutions
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships
Affinity in the usage of digital tools
