Junior Industrial Buyer - ESSEN:

Job description

The Junior Industrial Buyer is responsible for the procurement of disposable packaging (cardboard boxes, plastic bags, etc.) for Plastic Omnium plant in Germany.

The main responsibilities include:

Requesting and analyzing quotations for disposable packaging for new and existing requirements (benchmarking)
Preparing and implementing sourcing decisions
Supporting plants in identifying technical savings opportunities
Updating master data in ERP system
Ensuring correct payment of suppliers in close collaboration with Finance

Profile

You are a highly motivated young graduate from a recognized engineering school with business acumen or from a recognized business school with a strong interest for a technical environment.

You are open minded and with a serious desire to learn, as well as a clear willingness to embark on an international career.

As part of your studies, you have already undertaken an international curriculum (e.g., one semester or year outside your home country).

You have a first experience in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain and have a good knowledge of MS Office.

You are a team player, a self-learner and have demonstrated some leadership.

You have an interest for the automotive industry and a first professional experience or internship in this sector is appreciated.

You are fluent in English with a good command of German.
