unybrands was founded in 2020 by a group of partners who shared a common vision to create the leading next-generation e-commerce platform for micro-brands.

unybrands acquires e-commerce brands that operate on and off Amazon.

About the role:

As Head of Accounting & Financial Operations you will play a key role in overseeing the finance operation functions of unybrands to transition a fast growing scale-up to IPO readiness.

You will report to our CFO based in Berlin.

Responsibilities include - but are not limited to:_ _**:

Leadership and management:
Manage a team of 6 in Berlin and USremote enabling a high level of performance and professional development of team members
Ongoing hiring: Continue to build out the accounting team in Berlin
Oversee financial operations including accounting, AR, AP, treasury, payroll, and tax
IPO Readiness: continually refine and implement financial policies, processes and controls to meet the standards required for public companies
Manage monthend and yearend close processes
Oversee accounts payable and treasury functions
Oversee global payroll
Oversee tax compliance
Lead the annual audit process and function as key contact for external auditors and tax authorities

A successful team member will have:

University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in a reputable accounting and tax audit firm, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
At least 2 years of experience in a fastpaced and dynamic environment. Startup / scaleup experience is a plus
Knowledge of US GAAP is desirable
Proficiency in English language
Strong leadership and communication skills
Entrepreneurial spirit and gogetter attitude
Can work in our office in Berlin
