THE ORGANISATION


Considering the notable growth in membership within the DACH Region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), ULI is well-positioned to amplify its influence in the built environment.

An establishment of a dynamic network, inspiring member sessions for knowledge sharing, and the creation and efficient sharing of thought leadership content are pivotal to advancing ULI's mission and the strategic objective of becoming the foremost network and catalyst for urban transformation in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

***: The Senior Associate will focus on implementing and maintaining the programming in Germany. This includes supporting and collaborating with ULI network, in particular in the development and thought leadership pieces.


Key Elements for this role includes the implementation of contributing to content development in collaboration with the research Team in Europe and ULI members and to oversee the programming.


Reporting to the Executive Director for the DACH region this position good organisational and communication skills as well as an enthusiasm for supporting the built environment, cities and the real estate community in the transformational change.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


Network

  • Supports the vibrant network in the regional Groups in programming
  • Supports the local chapter to deliver educational programs e.g. Urban Plan
  • Supports the Chairs of the content driven groups (Product Councils) in programming and meetings (speakers, topics, trends)

Content Development

  • Supports the Chairs of the Product Council in regard of research papers (act as a project manager for the execution of research projects)
  • Supports the Executive Committee in preparation of thought leadership pieces as result of discussions the different Forums

Business development

  • Supports Executive Director in Key Account Management (presents ULI with relevant stakeholders, member companies and potential members)

Communication

  • Development and execution of Communication plan and strategy in close collaboration with the Executive director and the press agency.
  • Manages the ULI DACH websites with regular and timely updates, and periodic analytics to improve traffic and usage.
  • Curates content from the National Councils, which includes highlighting European and global research papers, event highlights, major initiatives, content pieces and leadership updates.
  • Generate and formats content, including text and visuals as needed, for publication on the website.

Marketing and Communications

  • Supports the execution of marketing and communications plans for major events and programs
  • Support the National Councils team in regards of the programming in the local councils and the different member groups

Social media

  • Develop and implement the regional content for social media platforms,, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Tracks, measures and reports on the results of engagement through social media.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and distribution of frequent newsletters, with a particular focus on ULI content.
  • Support the writing of speeches, press releases, and articles around key events and initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:


  • At least first experience working in communications, marketing, real estate, urban planning, research in real estate
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Capable of meeting tight deadlines and multitasking.
  • Native German speaking.
  • Business English required.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in urban development, real estate, economics, geographer communications, marketing, public affairs, media, or related field required.
