About our client
Our client is a leading, independent, early-stage Venture Capital firm based in Düsseldorf.

The team has already established itself as a prominent investor in Food, Nutrition, Lifestyle and the Health-tech products intended to drive sustainability.

Backed by one of Germany's most renowned family businesses they are looking for a Principal to join their growing investment team.

What the job involves

As deal captain you are responsible for the entire transaction process, including qualitative and quantitative investment analysis, deal structuring and negotiation through to closing
Networking and sourcing relevant investment opportunities
Help develop and mentor a firstclass investment team
You will actively work with the portfolio companies, where required, taking on board positions to support the management teams and drive value creation
You will lead by example and guide a diverse, independent and empowered team

Who we are looking for

Investment professional with significant experience in venture capital investing
Experience in sourcing early

- or later-stage deals across Europe

You bring meaningful operational insight acquired through active board participation
You have an entrepreneurial mindset with sharp commercial judgement and a clear passion for (sustainable) value creation
You are ambitious yet lowego, take pride in your work and are able to flourish in a fastpaced environment
As a natural and trustworthy leader, you are respected by colleagues, your network and founders alike
You are fluent in spoken and written English and German; additional language skills are a plus
