Constructor University (formerly Jacobs University Bremen gGmbH)

is a private, state-accredited, English-language research university in Bremen.

We are offering PreDegree, Bachelor, Master or PhD programs in three schools:

School of Science, School of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Business, Social & Decision Sciences and are involved in the professional development of specialists and managers and in the transfer of knowledge.

The department of Student Life and Support ́s mission is to facilitate and support students ́ growth, well-being, and the development of interpersonal, intercultural, and leadership competencies outside of the the classroom.

This goal is attained through a variety of learning opportunities and services within the Residential Colleges and in our campus community.


Residential students' affairs professionals collaborate with their departmental colleagues, the psychological counselors who focus on confidential counselling, peer support systems, and are a link to external mental health agencies.

This interdisciplinary team approach provides the basis for prevention, intervention and after care to ensure quality support for all students.


A team of community student life professionals facilitate the operation of a range of student-led events, student clubs & societies, and extracurricular activities devoted to sports, arts, culture, leadership, and community building.

Together where we strive to integrate students' formal education with the other dimensions of their lives.


We are seeking someone to join our team as soon as possible to provide administrative and operational support to the Residential College Teams.

Your responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the overall running of the residential colleges on campus by providing administrative and event management support to the 4 Residential Teams
  • Collaborate with Campus Operations departments to ensure housing and facility needs by the colleges are met
  • Provide administrative support the Resident Mentors and Residential Teams in the 4 colleges. Including specific administrative duties
  • Purchasing and ordering of college and event supplies
  • Support with organization and management of the 4 college offices
  • Assisting Resident Mentors with keeping information such as floor plans, college information packs up to date
  • Assisting with monthly accounting and budget reconciliation procedures
  • Supporting the residential teams with event planning and organization through purchasing and ordering
  • Liasing with facilities and housing over college repairs and housing enquiries
  • Liaise with Community Coordinators in Student Life team regarding college events and activities

Your qualifications:


  • Experience working with international students in higher education
  • Experience of working in intercultural teams
  • Administration support experience
  • Ability to use MS Office
  • Ability to use software packages related to student housing
  • Ability to design and create information materials suitable for social media
  • Fluency in English
