What do you contribute?


As our Head (M/F/d) of International Locomotives Sales, you will drive our market gains for Locomotives with particular focus on our markets outside of Europe and India (China, USA, Middle East / Africa, Australia and more).

You will be accountable for engaging and positioning our locomotive product range with customers to secure key project wins.


Furthermore you will:

  • Develop sales strategies for your geographies and lead the team to execute these.
  • Foster cultural awareness and shape an international mindset in the team.
  • Establish new strategic market development practices.
  • Be the lead interface to our regions for business development, customer acquisition, negotiations, and project management / execution.
  • Lead international project management / execution teams through our global matrix organization.
  • Drive cultural change in the department by tailoring activities which will be closely aligned to the specific needs of each region.
  • Lead (or support the regions, as the case may be) customer acquisition, offer preparation and negotiation activities.
  • Develop and evolve unique selling points for our portfolio: deployment of Smart Assets, offering engineered components, financing options and other value generating services.
  • Provide the competitive edge and a green footprint to our customers leveraging our digital services and technologies.

What do you bring along?

  • You hold an academic degree in an engineering discipline. Postgraduation in a management course will be an advantage.
  • Additionally, you have longtime management experience in project execution, engineering, or commissioning in the rail industry, with advanced knowledge in Rolling Stock technology and global markets.
  • Ideally, you already have a successful track record in rolling stock sales.
  • Therefore, you have solid understanding of digital technologies & services to be applied in our locomotive offers and are proficient in contract management and negotiating deals.
  • You can develop and execute strategies and have an entrepreneurial mindset paired with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You are dedicated and creative in consultative and value selling of products and solutions and have strong listening skills.
  • You are a natural people leader, able to engage and empower your teams.
  • Fluency in English is key; additional languages are always welcome
