As part of Charité Research Center for Immunology and Gastroenterology located at the Campus Benjamin Franklin, the Diefenbach lab is interested in deciphering the molecular mechanisms of innate immune cell development, differentiation and plasticity, with focus on myeloid and innate lymphoid cell (ILC).
The aim of the Flow Cytometry Core Facility is to facilitate and help advance the scope and quality of Immunology Research at the Center by providing investigators advanced instrumentation and high-level technical and scientific expertise in multi-dimensional Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting.
We are currently seeking a Flow Cytometry Specialist with advanced Flow Cytometry experience.Die Stelle im Überblick
As Flow Cytometry Specialist you will
Autonomously operate a cell sorter (BD Aria Fusion) and perform simple troubleshooting and repairs of Flow Cytometry equipment
Provide technical and scientific support to researches in operating our analysers (BD LSR Fortessa X-20, BD Symphony A3)
Perform quality control and basic maintenance for all instruments
Order spare parts and consumables for all instruments and arrange repairs by the manufacturer
Perform administrative duties including the management of user administration, instrument training, booking calender and charging system
Contribute to Research programs (including ERC and German Research Counsil Priority programs) coordinated by senior staff

We are looking for individuals with a high motivation to work at the interface of developmental immunology, mucosal immunology and genomics on the forefront of health research
You need:
Years of experience with flow cytometry and flow cytometric cell sorting
Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills required to assist and train multiple professionals including Principal Investigators, Research Fellows and Graduate Students
A graduate degree (Bachelor's degree) in Natural Sciences or Engineering Science is required. Master's degree/PhD are preferred
Further - Experience in immunology, developmental biology, cell biology, single cell sequencing or genomics is desirable but not mandatory
Excellent communication skills (English and German), ability to work in a team and a quality

A high degree of commitment, flexibility and organizational skills
